TERMS AND CONDITIONS
ALT is a retailer of equipment and instrumentation.
is not a manufacturer or fabricator.
ALT makes no warranties of any kind whatsoever, express or implied, and all implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for any particular purpose are hereby disclaimed and excluded.
The final determination of the suitability of the equipment or instrument for the use contemplated by the purchaser is the sole responsibility of the purchaser and ALT shall have no responsibility in connection with the purchaser’s decision as to such suitability.
Any warranties available by the manufacturers of products sold by ALT, are the warranties of the manufacturer, not ALT, and only such manufacturer shall be liable for the performance under such guarantee.
All used equipment is sold “as is”, and is not warranted or guaranteed, except to the extent the purchaser is furnished a separate service contract, which will address the repair or replacement, or exchange or any non-functioning parts within the time frame and the terms outlined in the service contract itself.
ALT shall be allowed a reasonable time after receipt of any notice of non-function to remedy the situation, with ALT’s liability being expressly limited to replacement of any non-functioning part.
ALT makes no warranties of any kind whatsoever, express or implied, with respect to any software contained as part of the equipment or instrumentation. It is expressly agreed that the purchaser must consult with the manufacturer or software developer to pursue any remedies.
It is expressly understood and agreed that under no circumstances shall ALT be liable for any special, incidental or consequential damages in connection with the purchaser’s use of any equipment or instrument sold by ALT. The purchaser acknowledges that it understands any hazards involved in both the proper and the improper use of equipment and instrumentation. It is further mutually understood that insofar as ALT has no reason to know the purpose for which the purchaser intends to use the equipment supplied, ALT makes no guarantee that such equipment is fit for any particular purpose, or that the purchaser’s intended use is free from hazard.
PRICING & PAYMENT POLICY
Prices and availability of instrumentation are subject to change without notice. Written price quotations are valid for 30 days. Inventory is constantly changing and prices may vary depending on peripherals, options, setup, and installation. Prices do not include shipping/handling. Please call for discounts for volume purchases. First time orders will be COD, credit card, wire transfer, or business check. Net Terms/Purchase Orders are accepted from Schools, Universities and Municipalities. A deposit is required on orders over $1,000.00. All International orders will be prepaid by wire transfer in United States dollars at the prevailing exchange rate. Returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee.
CONDITION OF EQUIPMENT
Most equipment we sell is used and in 'VERY GOOD' condition. Some items are 'NEW or NEW-SURPLUS'. This means simply that the item appears to be new and/or unused, and may or may not include the original box, packing materials, or user's manuals. These items do not carry manufacturer warranties, American Laboratroy Trading handles all guarantee issues.
American Laboratory Trading does a thorough inspection to identify and disclose any deficiencies or damage we observe in the equipment we sell. All deficiencies, if known to us, are openly disclosed in the item’s description. Though we attempt to sell only equipment in good or better condition, not everything we acquire is of this high standard. Please read the the description carefully and contact us with any questions or concerns

RETURN POLICY
Returns will not be accepted without prior authorization from American Laboratory Trading, LLC. Buyer must first contact American Laboratory Trading. by email or phone for approval prior to returning any equipment. Unauthorized returns will be refused at the receiving dock. Buyer is responsible for properly packaging equipment (this is very important!) and the cost of shipping and insurance. American Laboratory Trading, Inc. shall not be responsible for damages or delays resulting from Acts of God, and from other actions, both governmental and otherwise, including but not limited to war, riot, seizure, terrorism, and embargo.
DAMAGED IN SHIPPING
If your purchase is damaged in shipping, American Laboratory Trading is not responsible and the Buyer will need to make a claime with the carrier company. Buyer may be required to wait for shipping carrier's reply to claim for damages before further action can be taken such as refund or replacement. However, we may ship out a replacement unit as long as the Buyer cooperates and assists with the shipping claim, at our discretion and depending on stock. An assessment will be made at the time of the occurrence with a disposition based on the circumstances of the case. Buyer should contact the shipper prior to retuning the unit and notify them of the damage. Buyer must also keep the shipping box and packing materials for inspection by the shipper (UPS in most instances).
LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
In no event shall American Laboratory Trading be liable for special, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of profit or opportunity. Customer's sole remedies are stated in these Terms and Conditions of Sale. American Laboratory Trading's liability for repair or replacement will in no way or event exceed original purchase price. Under no circumstances does American Laboratory Trading make any claim as to the fitness, use, or suitability of any equipment we sell in the Customer's application. Such is the soul responsibility of the Customer.
ERRORS AND OMISSIONS
American Laboratory Trading makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of published information, including prices and inventory, however, errors or omissions may occur. American Laboratory Trading does not guarantee the accuracy of any such published information including technical specifications. It is the Buyers’ sole responsibility to know what he is buying and how to use it.
If an error is made and a product is listed at an incorrect price or is unavailable, American Laboratory Trading, shall maintain the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed at the incorrect price or for unavailable product. If the order has been confirmed and charged to your credit card, your account will be adjusted accordingly.

Origin is Groton, CT 06340. All items are sold plus shipping & insurance.
INTERNATIONAL PAYMENT
Bank wire transfer is required in the majority of the international sales we transact. We may accept international credit cards (including Paypal) but only under certian cercumstances and at our descretion. Contact us for details. For small payments, Buyer is encouraged to check into the various payment options availble with Western Union.
TAXES
Connecticut sales tax will be collected at a rate of 6.0% except with a valid tax exemption certificate. On international sales, any import duties and taxes are the Buyer’s responsibility and are paid directly by the Buyer. American Laboratory Trading will never quote or collect any customs fees or taxes for payment to any taxing authorities. For countries that do not accept insurance we are not responsible for lost or damaged items.
