The system was refurbished and sold to a research laboratory in Connecticut for a small profit and was the catalyst for the growth of the business. The customer was completely satisfied and remains a customer to this day. ALT then started purchasing small lots of used lab equipment and selling to a broader market. The operation began to flourish and the company needed to expand to satisfy growing inventory and sales demands. Today the company is located in a 10,000 sq. ft. office building with a 100,000 sq ft. warehouse. The company now concludes hundreds of transactions per month and has inventory in the thousands of items.
